Helping people access recovery and helping families hold steady through it.
Recovery is stronger when a community stands behind it.
Healing Roots Foundation is building practical, stigma-free support for individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges. Right now, our focus is on getting established, fundraising, and preparing programs so we can start helping people in Fall / Early 2027.
Our Priorities
We’re focused on three core priorities that reduce barriers to recovery and strengthen families and communities.
Bursery Programs
We are building bursary programs to help individuals access recovery services and outpatient supports. Our goal is to create a responsible, transparent program that helps people take the next step—without shame and without red tape that gets in the way.
What this can include:
Bursaries that offset the cost of recovery programming
Support for access to outpatient counselling and structured programming
Clear eligibility criteria and a straightforward application process
Reporting and accountability so donors know their impact
Family Support
Addiction affects more than one person. It impacts partners, parents, children, and friends. We’re building supports that help families navigate what they’re living through with more tools, more clarity, and less isolation.
What this can include:
Family education sessions and resources
Support circles and peer connection
Guidance on boundaries, communication, and coping strategies
Referrals to trusted services and professionals
Education
We believe education saves lives. We plan to deliver practical community education that reduces stigma and helps people recognize the signs of struggle earlier—before crisis hits.
What this can include:
Workshops and learning events for the public
Resource guides for families, workplaces, and community groups
Awareness initiatives focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and hope
Where We Are Right Now
Healing Roots Foundation is currently in the build phase. That means setting up governance, building partnerships, fundraising, and creating the program structure required to launch responsibly and sustainably.
In 2026, we’re focused on:
Establishing the foundation’s operational setup and governance
Fundraising and securing founding supporters and sponsors
Designing program criteria, intake processes, and tracking
Building the education and family support resources we’ll offer first
